Route 66 Raceway:
The Hottest Tickets in Town

(Joliet, Ill. - Friday, March 14, 2003) Route 66 Raceway, the record-setting drag strip in Joliet, Ill., launches it's 2003 ticket sales both in-house and with Ticketmaster on Monday, March 17th.

Race fans have been braving the cold Midwest winter and are ready to purchase the hottest tickets in motorsports entertainment at the Route 66 Raceway 1/4-mile drag strip and 1/2-mile dirt oval track. The schedule for 2003 includes two NHRA National Events, several Demo Derbies, Monster Trucks, manufacturer shows and much more.

Super Chevy, Battle of the Imports, World of Outlaws and USAC will return to the expanded schedule, as well as the long-anticipated Ford weekend. The NMRA Ford Nationals at Route 66 Raceway will be an entire weekend dedicated solely to Ford enthusiasts.

The two biggest drag racing events in the Chicago area will be the two NHRA National events at Route 66 Raceway scheduled for May 29-June 1 and September 25-28. Ticket renewal forms were mailed to 2002 ticket holders for a chance to guarantee their ticket purchase before the tickets were offered to the general public. Renewals have been coming in at a high rate and the public is urged to secure their tickets for reserved pit side seating soon. Route 66 Raceway is anticipating a sell-out for reserved seating.

For the first time in 2003, Route 66 Raceway has created a general admission seating area in effort to make it more affordable for families to enjoy NHRA drag racing. North side general admission seating will allow fans the flexibility to sit wherever they wish on the North side grandstands at a reduced price. However, South side seating fans are lining up to secure their seats closest to the pits.

Every seat at Route 66 Raceway provides an excellent view of the 1/4-mile action. The fact that every ticket is a pit pass, allowing direct access to the drivers, cars, and pit area of the facility is a highlight and winning combination for race goers.

Fans can secure their tickets for the NHRA Nationals at Route 66 Raceway or other events at the ?-mile drag strip or 1/2-mile dirt oval by calling 815-727-RACE, visiting www.route66raceway.com or through the Ticketmaster Distribution Network - online at ticketmaster.com, Charge-By-Phone at 312-559-1212, or at any area Ticketmaster Outlet locations including Carson Pirie Scott, Tower Records, Coconuts, FYE, and Hot Tix.
