On Saturday, June 18, Chicagoland Speedway will be the starting point for the third Annual Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run to honor our Country’s fallen heroes at the Middle East Conflicts Memorial Wall in Marseilles, Ill. More than 14,000 motorcyclists are expected to ride to Marseilles this year, surpassing last year’s mark of 10,000 riders. Participants are expected to arrive at the Memorial Wall by 12:00 p.m., where a memorial service will be held.

Wayne Messmer, who is best known for his spirited rendition of the National Anthem at sporting events around the Chicago area, will be in attendance at both Chicagoland Speedway and the Memorial Wall. Messmer will be singing “God Bless American” right before the kick-off to the event at Chicagoland Speedway. He will then travel with the riders to Marseilles, where he will sing the National Anthem and participate in the tributes that will take place at the Memorial Wall.

Proceeds from the event will help pay for the cost of adding new names of fallen soldiers to the Memorial Wall. Tributes, refreshments, food, live music and more will follow the ceremony. For more information on the event visit, www.ilfreedomrun.org
