NMRA, NMCA Set to Battle it Out at Route 66 Raceway this Weekend

Hey race fans!

For the first time in history, the NMRA Denso Ford Nationals and the NMCA Edelbrock Hot Rod & Muscle Car Nationals will converge for the first-ever NMRA Ford vs. NMCA Legal Drag Racing event. Fans from all over the country will travel to Joliet to see the top names of the NMCA battle it out with those of the NMRA. In addition to the dual drag-racing events, this weekend will also feature two separate car shows, a tire smokin' burnout contest, monster swap meet and the most comprehensive vendor midway of the season.

Jack Roush - founder and owner of the ROUSH Performance Products - will also be on hand to act as Grand Marshal on Sunday, July 30. Fans will have the opportunity to meet him at the Roush Performance Products display during an autograph session on Sunday from 12 - 1 p.m.

*Reminder: Masters of Disaster will make its debut at Route 66 Raceway’s 1/2-mile dirt oval on Saturday, August 5. This event will feature trailer racing, jet truck melt downs, monster truck tug-of-war, school bus demo, stuntmen crashing cars and figure-8 bomber races. Admission is $20 for adults and $16 for juniors (12 and under), while tickets purchased in advance are $15 for adults and $11 for juniors (12 and under).
