MONSTER MONEY TO PAY OUT $30,000 IN TWO WILD DAYS OF RACING

Route 66 Raceway is proud to play host to Monster Money – a Box/No Box, two-day extravaganza that will award a total of $30,000 in prize money Sept. 25-26, 2010. A Friday Night Test ‘n Tune opens the weekend’s action on September 24.

A winner will be crowned each day in two categories: Box and No Box. Box winners earn $5,000 both days. The No Box winners go home with $3,000 on both Saturday and Sunday.

Prizes will be paid out accordingly:

• Box Winner (Minimum 64-car field) - $5,000; Runner-up - $1,000; Semis - $500; Quarterfinalists - $200; 1/8s - $150.
• No Box Winner (Minimum 64-car field) - $3,000; Runner-up - $1,000; Semis - $500; Quarterfinalists - $150; 1/8s - $100.

Gates open at 4 p.m. for the Test ‘n Tune on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010. Gates open at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25 and Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010.

The entry fee for Box is $150 per car (each day). No Box will be $100 per car (each day). General admission is $15 each day. Children age 12 and under are free.
