Burndown at Sundown

Joliet, Ill. – May 6, 2013 – For the first time ever, indoor seating options are now available for the Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning Burndown at Sundown!, with the first 60 purchasers receiving a sneak peek of Club 66.

Club 66 is Route 66 Raceway’s newest premium club viewing area, which will launch in it’s entirety at the upcoming O’Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 NHRA Nationals Presented by SuperStart Batteries, June 27-30. Race fans will now have the opportunity to escape the heat in an air-conditioned indoor suite with a view straight down the drag strip on Saturday, June 8, as part of the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Weekend.

For $50, fans will receive an indoor seat plus a grandstand ticket, providing an indoor-outdoor option to come and go as they please and observe the drag strip from different areas. The first 60 fans to purchase indoor seating will receive seats in the new Club 66, a motorsports themed lounged with a prime view of the drag strip. Any fan who has already purchased a ticket can upgrade to indoor seating by paying $30. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Club 66 will make its official debut during the O’Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 NHRA Nationals, June 27-30, and will include complimentary food and beverage (excluding alcohol), two meals and light snacks daily, three beer drink tickets per day (21+ only), a complimentary gift and free preferred parking for every two tickets.

“We’re happy to announce another great seating option for our guests which will allow them to enjoy a terrific view down the drag strip in the comfort of a climate controlled suite,” said Scott Howard, Chicagoland Speedway and Route 66 Raceway vice president of sales & marketing communications. “Indoor seating provides an escape from what can be a long day in the sun, combined with the flexibility to head to the grandstands and pits throughout the event while still ensuring a front-row seat to fire-breathing jet cars come Sundown.”

The Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning Burndown at Sundown! features fire-breathing jet cars with sounds that echo throughout Route 66 Raceway’s stadium of drag racing as the jet engines propel the dragsters to speeds approaching 300 miles per hour. Saturday’s show times are at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., although gates will be open beginning at 7 a.m. Tickets for the Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning Burndown at Sundown! are only $20, while kids 12 and younger are FREE with a paid adult.
