Team Demolition Derby – Round 1
A 40-year tradition in the Chicagoland area, Team Demolition Derby is now known the world over for its unique team format and hard hitting car crushing excitement. Reminiscent of roller derby, the first team to complete five laps is the winner. While it sounds easy, four opposing vehicles will stop at nothing to destroy the other team’s cars while they too try to accumulate five laps first. Eight teams compete two at a time over three rounds of competition. Each round eliminates a team from each pair, culminating with the final round between the two remaining teams to close the night.

Racers will compete over a nine race series to crown a champion and determine who represents Team Route 66 Raceway at the Summit NHRA ET Finals in Indianapolis at season’s end. Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, High School and Pro Bike classes are contested.
