Saturday, August 24 - Junior Drag Racing Series Finale
Drag racing’s future has arrived with the NHRA Junior Drag Racing League. For the last twenty-years, next generation drag racers have developed their talents in half-scale dragsters that race the 1/8-mile dragstrip (half the distance of the ¼-mile dragstrip). This is a high-octane version of youth sports that will be contested in the morning and early afternoon of Saturday, August 24. This is the fifth and final race of the 2013 Junior Drag Racing Series.

Saturday, August 24 - Round 4 of the Team Demolition Derby Tournament of Destruction
Like “roller derby with cars,” Team Demolition Derby provides the hardest hitting demolition derby action known the world over. Eight teams compete in a tournament style eliminator. Two teams go head-to-head in a quest to be their first to turn five laps around the ¼-mile track while trying to destroy and not be destroyed by the opposing team. The team that lasts all three rounds of competition is declared the event winner. Held one night each month from May through September, the Tournament of Destruction also crowns a championship winning team at season’s end. With a rich history in the Chicagoland area, multigenerational fans have a strong affinity with their favorite team.
