Chicagoland Speedway Named Starting Point for Fourth Annual Illinois

For the second consecutive year, Chicagoland Speedway will be the starting point for the fourth annual Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run on Saturday, June 17. Line up begins at 8 a.m., with the run departing from the track at 10 a.m.

More than 14,000 motorcyclists are expected to ride to the Middle East Conflicts Memorial Wall in Marseilles, Ill. this year to honor our country's fallen heroes. Participants are scheduled to arrive at the Memorial Wall between 12 and 1 p.m., where a memorial service will be held.

Wayne Messmer, who is best known for his spirited rendition of the National Anthem at sporting events around the Chicago area, will be in attendance at both Chicagoland Speedway and the Memorial Wall. Messmer will be singing "God Bless America" right before the kick-off to the event at Chicagoland Speedway. He will then travel with the riders to Marseilles, where he will sing the National Anthem and participate in the tributes that will take place at the Memorial Wall.

A $10 donation is requested by all participants. Proceeds from the event will help pay for the cost of adding new names of fallen soldiers to the Memorial Wall and assist Veterans and their families. Tributes, refreshments, food, live music and more will follow the ceremony. For more information on the event, visit .
