TORC RETURNS FOR CHICAGOLAND SLAM AT THE DIRT OVAL AT ROUTE 66 RACEWAY
Hollywood Casino to Offer Premium Prizes to Rockett Brand Racing Fuel ET Bracket Series Competitors

Joliet, Ill. — March 20, 2017 - The Dirt Oval at Route 66 recently announced new dates surrounding The Off-Road Championship’s (TORC) Chicagoland Slam. Rounds 1 & 2 of the premier off-road short course racing series in North America will return to Joliet, Illinois on May 13-14 for a doubleheader that kicks off the 2017 national championship season.
This action-packed weekend will feature the best short course racing between four pro racing classes including: four-wheel drive PRO 4 trucks, PRO 2 trucks, PRO Lights and PRO UTV plus appearances by sportsman classes. Fans will have the opportunity to get up close to the four distinguished classes, meet the drivers and collect debris from their favorite trucks during the post-race track walk.
The Race Your Ride presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts at Route 66 Raceway, which was originally scheduled for that weekend will now take place on Friday, August 11, and the Rockett Brand Racing Fuel ET Bracket Series intended for Saturday, May 13 will now take place the weekend prior, Saturday May 6. A revised schedule of events at Route 66 Raceway can be found below.
Rockett Brand Racing Fuel ET Bracket Series racers are now eligible to win premium prizes presented by Hollywood Casino. Posting a perfect reaction time or “Lucky Light” during eliminations for all Rockett Brand Racing Fuel ET Bracket Series Races (High School and Juniors not included) will earn racers a $50 gift card redeemable at Hollywood Casino Joliet and can be used at Final Cut, Epic Buffet or 99 Hops House. Bracket racers who are able to achieve a reaction time of .000 and run their dial-in to one-thousandth of a second will also be rewarded for their “Perfect Pass” with a similar gift certificate for $100.
