Joliet, Ill. (April 25, 2018) — The Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing Burndown at Sundown will return for the most explosive night of drag racing at Route 66 Raceway on a new date: Saturday, July 14. Burndown at Sundown coincides with the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series exhibition, where more than 500 cars will spring into action during three full days of racing.

Freestyle Motocross – A new and exciting component to this year’s Burndown at Sundown will be the United States Freestyle Motocross Team (USFMX). High above the race rack will be the high-energy aerial antics of Team USFMX as they perform heart pounding, death defying tricks like the "Kiss of Death.”

XXX Wings – Burndown at Sundown will turn up the heat again in 2018 as Route 66 Raceway partners with the taste of Jake Melnick’s. Jake Melnick’s, a Levy Restaurant, was voted as one of the “Top Chicken Wing Spots in the US” by the Today Show in 2017. Fans can experience the heat with fire-themed food and drinks including an official XXX Hot Sauce tasting challenge courtesy of the infamous Chicago-based restaurant.

Be sure to beat the summer heat at the beer garden and rock out with live entertainment provided by The Bishop’s Daredevil Stunt Club! Cap off the evening with a firework finale as it’s a night that will surely bring fire to life!

And for the kids, Route 66 Raceway Kids Club Members will be given VIP access including an up-close viewing area with access to the staging area and an exclusive driver autograph session.
