JOLIET, Ill. (February 6, 2020) — Route 66 Raceway, the First True Stadium of Drag Racing, today announced its 2020 Race your Ride Presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts and Rockett Brand Racing Fuel ET Bracket Series schedules.
The Race Your Ride Presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts events begin Saturday, April 11 and conclude on Friday, September 25. Race Your Ride gives aspiring racers and casual fans a chance to take on the same track as the stars of the NHRA.
The eight round Rockett Brand Racing Fuel ET Bracket Series begins on Sunday, April 19 and the season concludes Sunday, August 23 with the crowning of the class champions. Route 66 Raceway is a member of NHRA Division 3 – the North Central Division – and hosts the Rockett Brand Racing Fuel ET Bracket Series, where local racers from all different backgrounds, and with varying types of vehicles, can compete for wins and championships.
Bracket racing allows drivers in many types of vehicles, including dragsters, roadsters, sedans, and coupes, to compete on an equal basis against each other. In addition to four categories of competition – Super Pro, Pro ET, Sportsman, High School – for cars, a motorcycle category, Pro Bike, is featured.
Earlier this year the 2020 Route 66 Raceway major events schedule was announced, including the Route 66 NHRA Nationals (July 9 – 12), the Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing Burndown at Sundown (May 30), the D’Arcy Buick GMC Route 66 Classic (August 15) and the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing (July 30 – August 2).
In 2020, Route 66 Raceway will host four Jr. Dragster races in conjunction with the Rockett Brand Racing Fuel ET Bracket Series. In addition a fifth Jr. Dragster race will be held in conjunction with the D’Arcy Buick GMC Route 66 Classic

About Chicagoland Speedway & Route 66 Raceway
Chicagoland Speedway and Route 66 Raceway – Illinois’ largest sporting facility – is located in Joliet, Ill., approximately 30 miles south of downtown Chicago on Old Historic Route 66.
